Osvaldo Chacon has been a top performer since he started his musical
career as lead vocalist and songwriter with some of Cuba’s top bands including
Paulito FG, El Medico de la Salsa and Bamboleo. In 1997 he moved to London and
formed his own group Osvaldo Chacon Y Su Timba, bringing a fresh, exciting sound
to Salsa in the UK. His latest release SALSA TIMBA is no ordinary Timba jam.
This release has incorporated hip-hop, soca and reggae on top of the driving
Cuban rhythms. Once you hear this one you will have to get up and dance.
SALSA TIMBA is a special treat for Cuban music lovers. Some of my favorites
include. Bimbon (#1), Voy A Entrar(#2) touched with a little reggae, Socala (#5)
and Conmigo O Con El (#8) with it’s deep Timba style.
